Choosing a Coach
When selecting a coach, the process is as follows:
Schedule an Introduction Meeting. When choosing a coach, the first step is to have an Introductory meeting. An Introductory meeting gives you the ability to meet and talk with a Coach. Scheduling an introductory meeting requires no financial cost.
Have an Introduction Meeting. In this meeting, you can share their financial goals, financial struggles, questions you have for the coach and the coach's experience, or specific financial questions that they have regarding the direction they are going with their finances. The coaches can also share their understanding of the situation, answer the questions you have, or offer how they may be able to assist you in taking your next steps.
Choose the Coach. After interviewing a coach (or multiple coaches), the next step is to choose the coach. What you are looking to find in a coach is someone whom you felt comfortable in discussing your finances. Ask yourself whether you felt comfortable with this person in your meeting. Did you believe that the person can guide you? Would you be willing to share financial information with this person? Do you believe that the person would work for your growth and development?
These questions cannot always be determined through a single meeting, but in an Introduction meeting, many people can determine their general comfort level with the person.
Coach Selection. The final step is to email the coach to notify him/her of your decision and determine the next steps.
Can I Change my Coach? Of course you may. If you do not believe that you and your coach are connecting or able to work together, then you may terminate the relationship at any time by simply letting your coach (or another staff member) know.
